Description
In Dorchester County, The Milky Way Galaxy sparkles above Parson’s Creek. This historic spot in Maryland proves not all history is good. But even bad history requires remembrance. Parson’s Creek was part of the Underground Railroad. In April 1831, Joseph Keene and his wife Nellie stole a small boat and sailed their seven children to freedom from Parsons Creek in Dorchester County. The unique split in the waterway, lining up of the Milky Way, and ease to pull off alongside the road allow easy setup for the shot. As a result, many photographers shoot here.
