I snapped a really cool photo called ” Splish Splash ” of a bird dipping his head into and out of the water.
It was the last day of our trip to the Gulf Coast of Florida. I had the opportunity to spend the day on private beach with my wife and new friends. The view was incredible! I learned how to search for sharks’ teeth and bake in the sun for a bit. I was also doing a bit of shore bird watching with my wife when we saw these little brown, white, and black birds. We found that they are Ruddy Turnstones. They literally flip shells and stones as they wander around. My wife fell instantly in love with the little guys and said we definitely need photos of them. So, I snapped this photograph of a Ruddy Turnstone he was dipping his head in the turquoise-blue water of The Gulf of Mexico. I was instantly reminded in my head of the song Splish Splash.
As a result, when giving this photo a title, splish splash kept going through my head. Still, I went back and forth with it until I finally decided that Splish Splash would be the title. I personally think that this photo would look great in a beach house, a bathroom, or maybe a beached-themed room.
This photo was taken with the Sigma 150mm-600mm Contemporary Lens which I purchased from Adorama. I invite you to learn more about the Ruddy Turnstone <—click here
If you get the chance, and have not been, I would like to suggest heading down to Manasota Key in Florida. There you can go shark teeth hunting! I do believe kids and adults will love the activity. Most importantly, it passes the time, it is fun and rewarding. I learned a few interesting facts about those sharks’ teeth. For instance, they are generally a minimum of 10,000 years old, from when water covered the peninsula of Florida.
I am inviting you to please keep up with my adventures. One way, for example is by checking out my blog frequently. I made sure to offer a photo of that beautiful beach as well! you can find it here!!!
